Well, I saw this coming when Shade3d Co. took over the sales of Shade. At least Shade still lives, which is cool.
Anyway, I think Mirye deserves credit for keeping Shade english alive and kicking, let's hope the new company does the same.

I don't think the basic version has volume lights. If it does, then you can set them in the info pane when you have the light selected....

When you are setting a shortcut in shade, camera->eye & target is the equivalent to pan. It's not a bad way of describing the way the camera moves, but it isn't helpful for general navigation imo. Pan, rotate and zoom are pretty much a standard from what I've seen....

Using the fit to selection option is a cool option, I didn't know that one, I will in future. It fixes many of the headaches I've had when modelling in shade.

I've had a look at meshtools, but I think getting it to work in 14 is beyond me, unfortunately. I can get simple things to work, but not those scripts. Hopefully, somebody else will have a go....

If the py files work, it may just be a case of reconstructing the widget in xml. I've looked at the scripting manual and it looks doable - although I say this as an xml/ js novice......

Unfortunately, it appears that this doesn't work in shade 14. Should work in 13 if you have it (I don't)....
