Is the Shade Activation Code the same as a serial number?

No, Shade activation codes are not serial numbers. You cannot enter them into the Shade registration box to activate Shade. It is a form of receipt from the reseller that you purchased Shade that is used as part of your proof that you purchased Shade.

What is Shade activation?

Shade activation is the process or exchanging a Shade activation code for a full Shade serial number.

How long does Shade activation take?

It is not instantaneous. Shade activation may take up to two business days. It usually takes less time if the activation request comes in before the end of a business day.

How do I activate Shade?

There are a few simple but required steps to activate your copy of Shade.

1. Set up an account on Mirye.net. Locate the Create An Account link on the home page or the My Account Page.
2. Log into your account on Mirye.net. This step is required to have any interaction with Mirye through the website.
3. Go to Mirye.net Menu Support > My Account. You can both create and track existing tickets here.
4. Click Create a Ticket. Click the Create a Ticket link to view a ticket form.
5. Select Activate Shade - Category: Activate Your Product : Activate Shade. Registrations for Shade are only accepted through this link.
6. Fill in all fields and create the ticket. The product must be registered in the name of the licensee, either to a person or to a company.

The information filled in on this form creates a binding agreement between you, Mirye Software and developer E Frontier. If any information is misleading or fraudulent, all rights granted to you under the EULA are automatically terminated.

How do I receive my final serial number?

Your serial number will be posted in reply to your Activation Ticket. Log back into Mirye.net and then from the My Account page, you can track your tickets.

How about activating Shade I have purchased through the Apple Mac App Store?

After Shade is available in the Apple Mac App Store, you will be able to register Shade through the Create a Ticket system. Simply look for the Category specific to the Mac App Store and fill in all requirements.

Can I activate Shade by Telephone?

No, but if it is has been more than two business days, you can call to find out what the status is of your activation request.
