Mirye Software announces the release of Shade 12.1, a free update to the powerful modeling, animation and rendering platform for Windows and Mac OS X 32 and 64 bit systems.

Shade is one of the longest commercially available professional 3d tools available. First released in 1986, with the first Mac OS release in 1990, Shade has long differentiated itself by its powerful curved surface modeling system and high quality native renderer. Since 2007, Shade has been localized and published worldwide in English through Mirye Software.

• FBX Exporter. Shade 12.1 includes a plugin for exporting 3d models as still or completely animated models for use in any other program that supports FBX format. This includes most 3d products from Autodesk such as 3D Studio MAX and Maya, as well as many game engines. It is now possible to export pre-animated models for use in games produced by many popular engines such as Unity3D, making Shade one of the most inexpensive solutions for producing game content.
• iClone Exporter (Windows Only). Supports exporting animated content to Reallusion iClone, the real time 3d animation solution. Requires iClone 5 or higher and iClone EXchange4 or higher.
• PoserFusion Support with Poser 9 / Poser Pro 2012. PoserFusion is a solution for hosting native, animated Smith Micro Poser scenes within other applications. Shade 12.1 includes support for the most recent versions of Poser. This feature is currently only available in English only.
• Improved Stereoscopic Rendering. Rendering for 3D playback on monitors, television and devices is improved with better differentiation between Parallel and Convergence based rendering with special corrections for establishing distance between objects and the background. Also includes new support for Sony Head Mounted 3D display and Sharp 3D smart phone. Shade already supports formats such as the NVIDIA 3D VISION platform, Nintendo DS and others.

The release also incorporates around 80 minor updated and improvements throughout the entire product, including improved Mac OS X 10.7 Lion support, radiosity, COLLADA export and more. Shade 12.1 is a free upgrade to users of Shade 12.0 or later. Recent releases have improved integration with other 3d products, including e-on software's Vue natural scenery system and  Belight Live Interior Pro. Shade has included features specific to the creation of content for Smith Micro Poser for many years.

Shade Basic is $99, Shade Standard Edition is $349 and Shade Professional is $749. Owners of Shade 10 can upgrade at a discount.
